Amanda Woosley

Throws Coach, Zachary High School She is in her 4th year as the throws coach at Zachary High School. Prior to that she was the throws coach at Episcopal High School for 5 years. While at Eppiscopl she coached multiple state champions in all three throwing disciplines and was a part of many state championship teams. During her time at Zachary High School, she has also coached many successful district, regional and state champions. Ms. Woosley is originally from New Jersey and made her way to Louisiana as a javelin thrower at Louisiana State University. Prior to attending LSU, she was a 6x All-American in both the shot put and javelin. In her four years at LSU, she was a member of the All-SEC team as well as an Academic All-American. She currently teaches elementary PE and when she’s not coaching, she has three young children (Cameron 10, twins Peyton and Catherine 8 years) that keep her running around busy.
