Coach Villers has 25 years of experience coaching track and field and is in her 19th year as head coach and 6th year as the Assistant Athletic Director at DeSoto High School. DeSoto girls track and field teams have won the State Team Championship 7 of the last 9 years, Regional Meet 11 of the last 13 years, and have won the District meet since 2004. DeSoto Girls have had nationally ranked athletes in all three relays, long jump, triple jump, high jump, discus, shot put, hurdles and sprints with a National record of 44.24 in the 4x100m Relay in 2019. The 2019 team scored 121 points at the state meet, the most in Texas history. She has taught high school math for 19 years, been married for 17 years and has 3 sons, who keep her on her toes.
